Touchdown Club president Cunningham dies at age 57

Spartanburg Crickets owner and Spartanburg Touchdown/Tip-Off Club president Steve Cunningham Sr. died Tuesday while playing golf on vacation in Los Angeles. He was 57.

His heart stopped while he was on the golf course with his wife, Donna, said Cunningham's son, Mike.

"He was doing what he loved, playing golf with my mom," Mike said.

Cunningham did a superb job for the Shrine Bowl Of The Carolina’s.   His organization (Spartanburg Touchdown/Tip-Off Club) hosts the Shrine Bowl Teams at the Friday Luncheon.  This year most of the ACC head coaches in North and South Carolina will be on the podium to address our players and nearly 700 members of the Spartanburg, South Carolina Touchdown Club.     

Cunningham was a non Shriner, but did a tremendous job for the Shrine Bowl Of the Carolinas.  The article is taken from today’s Spartanburg Herald Journal
