Recommendation of Players for 73rd Annual Shrine Bowl
Game
The 73rd Annual Shrine
Bowl of the Carolinas Football Game of High School
Senior All-Stars will be played at Gibbs Stadium, Spartanburg, SC on Saturday, December
19, 2009. Forty-four (44) players from each state are
selected by the Shrine Bowl coaching staffs based on
recommendations of their respective head football
coaches. Each coach may recommend four (4) players; two
(2) backs and (2) linesmen. A specialty player (kicker
or punter) may be substituted for one of the back or
lineman recommendations. Players recommended must be
graduating seniors. Any felony conviction or
involvement in drug-related crimes or problems may lead
to non-participation in the Shrine Bowl game, as the
player may be ineligible. All recommended players must
meet the scholastic and attendance requirements of his
respective school and/or school system.
Please submit your
recommendations on the enclosed form to the Shrine Bowl
office no later than
October 10, 2009.
Please be sure the forms are complete and legible.
Please check that the address on the form is the
student’s home address, as that will be the address used
to invite players selected to participate. The players
will be selected on Saturday, October 24th.
If your player is selected and becomes injured or
withdrawn from play for any reason please inform office
