Frank Owens played in the very first shrine game.  He is a Charlotte native, who after a distinguished High School Career, and performed equally well for the Wolfpack of NC State. Following his college career he returned to Charlotte and became an executive and Vice President of Sales for Package Products. He did not limit his energies only to work, as he was very active in many civic organizations.
