Played RB in high school, but he could play several other positions in college including LB, TE and DE. As a junior, he rushed for 1,880 yards and 23 TDs, and caught 11 passes for 120 yards and two TDs. His team finish 10-3 and reach the second round of the Class 2-A state playoffs. He was named defensive MVP at NC's summer football camp. Hedgecock also plays basketball and runs the 300-meter hurdles in track.
